Description

Theory examination (oral):
The following chapters from Al-Muneer Tajweed Syllabus 2021 (P.1-141):
1. Introductions to the science of Tajweed.
2. Al-Isti’aathah and Al-Basmalah.
3. Articulation points and nicknames of letters.
4. Characteristics of letters.
5. The rules of At-Tafkheem and At-Tarqeeq.
6. Special points relating to the recitation pages (Qur’aan P.483-604), which are found at
the end of the Al-Muneer Tajweed Syllabus (P.338-347).

Hifth examination (oral):
Memorisation of the final chapter of the Quran (Juz’ 30).
* Students who are aged over 60 are excused from sitting the Hifth examination.

Tilaawah (practical) examination:
Recitation pages: P.483-604 of the Quran (Surah Ash-Shooraa to the end of Surah AnNaas)

Jazariyyah poem:
1. Makhaarij Al-Huroof section of the poem (Al-Muneer Tajweed Syllabus P.84-85).
2. Sifaat Al-Huroof section of the poem (Al-Muneer Tajweed Syllabus P.117-118).
* Students who are non-Arabs or who are aged over 60, are not required to memorise the
sections of the Jazariyyah poem. However, they are required to understand the meanings.
They will be displayed with some lines of the poems in Arabic during the examination and
will be asked to explain the meaning.

Attendance:
This course is 99 hours long, and students are required to attend at least 85% (84 hours)

Entry Requirements
Applicants are required to have memorised Juz’ Amma (Chapter 30 of the Quran) prior to enrolment.
* Students who are aged over 60 are excused from sitting the Hifth examination.
