Weekly Qur’an Circle Programme for Girls

Weekly Qur’an Circle Programme for Girls, held every Sunday at 3:30 pm.

The programme will run as simultaneous Qur’an circles divided by age group, combining Qur’an memorisation with a simple, structured and progressive Tajweed curriculum.

The programme is open to girls aged 4 to 17 years.

Programme Aims

• To enable girls to recite the Qur’an correctly with Tajweed and memorise an age-appropriate, progressive portion of the Qur’an.
• To teach the rules of Tajweed in a gradual and accessible way: through listening, imitation and practice for younger girls, and through memorisation, understanding and application for older girls.
• To nurture a love and respect for the Qur’an and strengthen the girls’ connection with the mosque and its Islamic environment.
• To develop a group of proficient students who may, in the future, progress to becoming assistant teachers within the Centre’s Qur’an circles.
• To involve families in their daughters’ progress through regular updates and reports, helping to reinforce learning at home.

We kindly ask parents and guardians to arrange the safe drop-off and collection of their daughters from the Centre, as responsibility for their safety after leaving the Centre remains with their families.

There will also be a study circle for mothers at the same time, allowing mothers to attend their own session while their daughters take part in the programme.

The programme is currently free of charge, although a small nominal fee may be introduced at a later stage.
